This Stevens manufactured second variation receiver is for the Crack Shot-26 single shot rimfire rifle and is in very good condition exhibiting a grayish brown patina with some specks of light older rust. Second variation receivers were originally blue finished, feature the circular "SVG" logo on the left side and designed to accept threaded screws to support the parts related to the receiver. This is the only part on the Crack Shot-26 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines. (file photos)

Date of Manufacture: between 1924 and 1929.

Note: Second Variation receivers were manufactured by Savage and require the late variation 10x32 threaded stock bolt and the late variation stock bolt nut.

Note: we have observed 3 Crack Shot-26 rimfire rifles having 22" long barrels with second variation receivers.
